ANOTHER HOLE-IN-ONE!

GSWGA Member Jane McWilliams aced the 10th hole at Essex County.  She used her driver on the 182 yard hole to card her ace.  Congrats Jane.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING GSWGA MEMBERS

Maura Ballard aced the 75-yard 12th hole at Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club using a gap wedge. The hole-in-one was her second across a span of 20 years!

Jill Denberg aced the 145-yard 5th at Green Brook Country Club on July 24th using a 7 iron.

Donna Cortina of Cherry Valley Country Club recorded not one, but TWO holes-in one this month while playing in a member/guest at Jasna Polana. The odds of this happening in a single round are 67 million to one.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME 2010

The GSWGA Board has decided to lend volunteer support to The First Tee, a wonderful organization that helps young people develop golf skills and life lessons such as honesty and integrity that go hand in hand with the game. Ours is a very talented membership with a great deal to offer others, especially children. In the next couple of months all members will receive more information regarding opportunities to volunteer their time to help with a variety of First Tee clinics throughout the state. We look forward to these opportunities which will enable us as an organization to give back to the game.
